Building a Safer Digital Ghana: A united effort to protect our youth and strengthen cybersecurity

In October 2025, a quiet but powerful collaboration unfolded behind the scenes of Ghana’s digital ecosystem. The Ghana Chamber of Telecommunications and the Digital Chamber of Ghana, working alongside the Cyber Security Authority (CSA), came together with a shared purpose: to make the digital space safer for everyone.

Their first stop was St. Mary’s Senior High School in Accra, where more than 1,000 students were introduced to practical lessons on cybersecurity. For many of them, it was the first time online safety felt personal, relevant, and actionable. Conversations about passwords, scams, and digital responsibility suddenly mattered.Team

Beyond the classroom, the focus shifted to industry. A capacity-building workshop on the National Child Online Protection Framework brought together professionals from telecoms and digital finance, equipping them with the tools to strengthen child online safety systems and improve response mechanisms.

By the end of the month, over 1,000 students and professionals had been trained. More importantly, a foundation had been reinforced, one built on awareness, collaboration, and shared responsibility. It was a reminder that building a safe digital future is not a one-time event, but a continuous commitment.
